Review: 60 Days to Becoming a Missionary Disciple

My Bible Study group used this book, written by Fr. John Bartunek, as a follow-up to his book titled The Better Part, which is meditations focused on the 4 Gospels.  That is a great book, and so we were not surprised to find that this one also is a great book, for group study and for individual reflection.

The first part of this book is about knowing and loving God, with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.  The latter part is largely about who you are, in God’s eyes.  And it reflects deeply on who I should be, which is “who he created me to be.”  Fr. Bartunek leads us in considering how the world impacts us, and how we should respond.  His missionary focus is showing us how to live, and live being a witness to the world, and our personal world --- family, church, co-workers --- and how our actions make us missionary disciples.

There is no chapter in this book in which I do not have several points underlined or starred, and comments in the margins abound.  This is a wonderful small group study book
